Virtual Causeway Partners With Communitech For 'Surpass Yourself' Conference
Communitech, an organization that represents the technology industry in the Waterloo region, hosted a full-day conference April 22, 2003 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Titled "Surpass Yourself: People, Productivity and the Return on Investment", the conference was geared towards supervisors, leaders, CEOs, Presidents, HR professionals, managers and employees who would like to be more productive.
The day opened with Dr. Sandra Carrigan, Manager, Learning and Development, Franklin Covey Canada, Ltd., as the breakfast Keynote Speaker. Throughout the day a variety of speakers covered the topics of productivity through health and wellness; software tools; time management and communication skills. The luncheon Keynote speaker was Dr. Ken Blanchard, Chairman and Chief Spiritual Officer of The Ken Blanchard Companies - Author of the One Minute Manager ®, Raving Fans, and Whale Done TM. The conference took place at Bingeman's Conference Centre in Kitchener, Ontario from 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Virtual Causeway, a Communitech member for two years, was one of the partners for the "Surpass Yourself" Conference. Virtual Causeway's marketing and sales professionals aided Communitech in their marketing efforts, including event registration and recruitment for the Conference. The conference, which consisted of over 30 exhibitors and almost 400 attendees, could not have taken place if it were not for the assistance and support of members, sponsors and partners.
