2003 Sunshine Dreams for Kids Fundraiser Supported by Virtual Causeway Employees
The 2003 RadioShack-Sunshine Walk for Children's Dream was held across Canada this June to support the Sunshine Dreams for Kids foundation. Virtual Causeway employees took part by volunteering to help with registration, setup, and food preparation. The goal of the event was to raise $500,000 to make dreams come true for special children. More than one hundred walkers came together at the Waterloo event, held June 9th, 2003, and raised over $10,000!
Multiple walks took place across Canada. Together, volunteers and walkers worked to make the day a success. Walk Day consisted of a 5K and 10K walk with snacks and refreshments available. This is the first year that Virtual Causeway has participated in the event, and they look forward to participating with this fundraiser in future years. Virtual Causeway is also involved with the Taste of the Town event that supports the local Waterloo-Wellington chapter of Sunshine Dreams for Kids.
