With Virtual Causeway's headquarters centrally located between the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University, they are ideally positioned to benefit from the two University's Co-operative education programs.
The local Co-op programs draw students of a variety of disciplines, who are looking to apply their studies to a real world experience. It allows the students to complete a minimum of three four-month work terms at the employers of their choice, and provides them with relevant industry experience and a substantial resume upon graduation. Rick Endrulat, Chief Operating Officer of Virtual Causeway knows from experience, the benefits that are gained from the Co-operative education program: "I was once a Laurier co-op student, and understand the importance of getting real-world business experience. Now that I am an employer, I plan to continue hiring Co-op students - I find their point-of-view, communications skills, and willingness to learn a welcome asset to the Virtual Causeway team!"
Over the last year, Virtual Causeway has helped business-savvy University students excel by providing them with the opportunity to apply their leading-edge sales and marketing knowledge to our fast paced environment. The partnerships created between Virtual Causeway and its students typically extend long past their defined work term. In fact, all of our Co-op students say that they have chosen to continue part-time employment at Virtual Causeway while returning to their studies because of the positive experience and the supportive working relationships that were created during their term. As we continue to expand our operations and client base, we will look to our local Co-op programs for talented individuals to help us lay the ground work for the future success of Virtual Causeway.
