Virtual Causeway Receives Funding From the Business Development Bank of Canada
Waterloo, Ontario - Virtual Causeway, a leading outsourced tele-services company, announced that it has received funding from the Business Development Bank of Canada. The funding, which was received in June 2003, is part of the Innovation Financing program from the BDC and is a sign of the continual growth path that the company is experiencing. Innovation Financing can be used to fund any project related to the development of e-business, to explore new export markets, and to cover the costs of R&D associated with the introduction of new products and services.
Virtual Causeway will use the funding to increase their service offerings and reach a broader range of industries and expand the company's contact center infrastructure with improved IT systems. "This commitment by the BDC validates Virtual Causeway's strategic direction and proves that our services are striking a chord in the marketplace today. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the BDC in the coming years." Says Rick Endrulat, Virtual Causeway's COO. "The contraction in the North American economy has forced businesses to operate in entirely different ways, with a clear focus on effective sales and marketing. Virtual Causeway's unique tactical services parallel this broad change in the tech community."
Raj Joshi, Account Manager of Innovation Financing at the BDC agrees that Virtual Causeway was a great candidate for the loan: "The Business Development Bank of Canada developed Innovation Financing to meet a full range of Canadian small business needs such as Virtual Causeway and to help successful entrepreneurs stay one step ahead of the rest."
