Virtual Causeway Joins Canada's Technology Triangle's Ambassador Program

[Waterloo Region] Virtual Causeway has established a new relationship with Canada's Technology Triangle (CTT) Inc as a premier Ambassador to help develop the economic growth of the region. Virtual Causeway, a second-generation tele-services business, was one of the first investments that the CTT Inc assisted to establish its main operations in the technology-rich Waterloo area in early 2001.

Since its establishment in Waterloo Region in 2001, Virtual Causeway has grown significantly to more than 30 full time employees, and recently acquired new space in UpTown Waterloo, provisioning for future growth. Providing a full roster of technical development and market research services to international clients, Virtual Causeway has roots in Waterloo. One third of management of the leading-edge high tech company is Waterloo resident Rick Endrulat, Chief Operating Officer, a Wilfrid Laurier University MBA graduate who gained much of his experience at Sybase/iAnywhere Solutions, also of Waterloo. Other investment interests in the company are US-based, with strong ties to IDC, Boston's multinational research giant.

"We've grown up in Waterloo." Says Endrulat, "It was a smart choice for close access to our significant high tech client base, as well as a source for the kind of creative people we want to employ." The positive success of Virtual Causeway in Waterloo Region is what prompted the company to take on the role of Ambassador for the area.

"The CTT Ambassador Program is an innovative way to make this region known globally by engaging key people connected to the region traveling throughout the world to promote Canada's Technology Triangle. Ambassadors demonstrate their dedication and commitment to this community by contributing to the growth and the prosperity of the CTT through their successful promotion and through collaboration with Canada's Technology Triangle Inc," states John Tennant, CEO, CTT Inc.

Virtual Causeway joins with more than one hundred other local Ambassadors, including Bell Canada, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, NDI Northern Digital Inc., ATS Automation Tooling Systems as well as the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Applied Learning in promoting the area. The Ambassador Program's goals are to work to advocate business growth in the area, increase awareness of local resources, both in Canada and internationally, and encourage local business-to-business relationship building.
